Thai-market Nissan Almera gets two-tone body, cool seats
Refreshed Nissan Almera comes with two-tone body and innovative seats

The fourth-generation Nissan Almera gets a nip-and-tuck less than three years after launching in Thailand in late 2019. It receives several interior and exterior updates, including new cabin equipment for better comfort and connectivity.

Perhaps its most eye-catching feature is the new white body and glossy black top (roof, side mirrors, and spoiler) two-tone body color option. While it will only be available in the top-spec VL CVT and VL Sportech variants, all Almeras will receive a restyled front and rear bumper with silver trim and new 15-inch alloy wheels.

Nissan is pretty high on the new seats in the latest Almera. It uses a special fabric called Quole Modure that is known to reflect heat and stay cool during the drive. It was first seen locally in 2020, inside the Elite Edition Montero Sport. Again, it is also only available in the VL CVT and VL Sportech variants.
The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is retained, but aside from Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth, it also gets Android Auto compatibility and now comes with Google Maps navigation and voice commands capability.

Engine and transmission are the same. It still uses a 1.0-liter turbo engine with 100 PS and 152 Nm of torque mated to an XTRONIC CVT (continuously variable transmission). The top variants still have Idling Stop for higher fuel economy and Nissan's 360° Safety Shield (known locally as Nissan Intelligent Mobility) for passenger protection.
It took a couple of years before the latest Almera made it to our shores. Let’s hope it doesn’t take that long for this facelifted model to hit our dealerships.
