Tesla Philippines officially launches 2025 Model Y facelift

Earlier this year, Tesla Philippines greeted the New Year with the reveal of the 2025 Model Y facelift. First making its debut online, the all-electric crossover starts at PHP 2.369 million for the RWD version while the top-of-the-line AWD variant is selling for PHP 2.689 million. 

In addition, customers who ordered the pre-facelift version of the Model Y were automatically upgraded to get the refreshed model at no extra cost. Those who placed an order last month can expect their cars to arrive as early as April 2025.

Fast forward to February 2025, Tesla Philippines has officially revealed the updated Model Y in the metal. Revealed to the public at the East Wing of the Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City, the Model Y now features the new “Cyber Design” inspired by the Cybertruck. The result is a sleeker, more dynamic-looking EV highlighted by the new cross-light bar at the front fascia.

Also worth mentioning is the eye-catching taillight which Tesla claims is an industry-first. Unlike conventional taillights, the one on the 2025 Model Y comes with an indirect reflective body panel design first seen on the Cybertruck. This gives the Model Y a more futuristic look compared to its predecessor. Last but not least, the RWD version comes with 19-inch alloys while the AWD model gets bigger 20-inch alloy wheels.

Hop inside and the refreshed Model Y still comes with a sleek and minimalist cabin. A massive 15.4-inch touchscreen display is the vehicle’s infotainment and control system. It manages the EV’s in-car controls like Dog Mode, Sentry Mode, and Tesla Arcade.

Users will also be able to check for real-time traffic updates and detours, as well as live weather updates while on the go. Audiophiles will also appreciate the fact the Model Y comes with a 9-speaker sound system as standard while the Long Range AWD version gets an exclusive 15-speaker system along with a subwoofer.

The cabin is also quieter compared to before thanks to the use of double-layer glass for all the windows. Meanwhile, the panoramic glass roof can now further reduce UV rays and heat from entering the cabin. For those who need to haul plenty of luggage, Tesla says the 2025 Model Y can carry up to 2,130 liters of luggage with the rear seats folded.

As mentioned before, the Model Y RWD is powered by a single electric motor that allows the EV to sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 201 km/h. It can travel up to 466 km on a full charge based on the WLTP cycle. On the other hand, the Model Y AWD Long Range benefits from a dual-motor system which allows it to go from 0 - 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. This too has a top speed of 201 km/h but can travel further to 551 km based on the WLTP cycle.

Customers who are interested in getting a closer look at the 2025 Tesla Model Y can visit the ground floor of the Shangri-La Plaza East Wing until March 9, 2025. Customers who will order a unit today can expect their vehicle to arrive at the end of Q2 of this year.
