Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange breaks ground
Ayala and DOTr breaks ground on new Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange

In about three years’ time, commuters from the south of Metro Manila and nearby provinces are set to have another modern transport hub apart from the PITX.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr), along with Arca South Integrated Terminals, Inc. of Ayala Land, Inc. has done the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange (TCITX).

Located along East Service Road in the Arca South Estate, the 5.57-hectare TCITX has a passenger capacity of up to 160,000 and can accommodate 5,200 vehicles daily.

Constructed as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project, the TCITX will feature passenger terminal buildings, arrival and departure bays, public information systems, ticketing and baggage handling facilities, and park-ride facilities similar to PITX. It will be a multi-modal terminal where commuters can take both provincial and city buses, as well as jeepneys and AUV terminals.

Furthermore, commuters can have the option to stop and shop at the nearby Ayala Malls Arca South which will open its first phase by December this year.

DOTr and ALI say construction of the TCITX project is expected to be completed by 2027, while the operational launch is set to take place in 2028. Once operational, the TCITX will connect with the upcoming Southeast Metro Manila Expressway (SEMME) or C6 Expressway through entry and exit ramps, the North-South Commuter Railway System (NSCR), and the Metro Manila Subway Project (MMSP).
