Suzuki PH welcomes electrification with 2023 Ertiga Hybrid
Suzuki's mild-hybrid MPV makes its way to the Philippines

After posting several teaser images of its upcoming vehicle, Suzuki Philippines has officially launched the 2023 Ertiga Hybrid. First previewed during the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), the MPV serves as the brand's first-ever electrified vehicle (and mild-hybrid model) in the country.
Under the hood is a 1.5-liter K15B four-cylinder engine that is now paired with an integrated starter generator (ISG) and a 12V lithium-ion battery pack called the Smart Hybrid System. The ISG replaces a traditional alternator and functions as a generator that charges the battery. It also doubles as an electric motor that provides assistance during standing start or acceleration.

Meanwhile, the 12V lithium-ion battery supplies power to the ISG and the electrical components. The battery also stores electrical energy generated by the ISG and provides regenerative braking for added fuel efficiency. The hybrid system also includes an auto start/stop system that further saves on fuel.
Output-wise, the Ertiga Hybrid makes 103 PS at 6000 RPM along with 138 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm. Power goes to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4-speed automatic gearbox that drives the front wheels.

Aside from getting an electrified heart, Suzuki also made some subtle changes to the MPV's exterior. Up front, the Ertiga Hybrid gets a new front grille with a more modern design. Also getting a new design is the tailgate which now comes with a chrome accent and a “Hybrid” emblem. Last but not least, the MPV rolls on 15-inch polished alloy wheels exclusive to the top-spec GLX.

Inside, the Ertiga Hybrid also gets some minor revisions. The instrument panel has been redesigned and now sports a blue theme complete with bolder numbers. But perhaps the biggest upgrade is the 4.2-inch full-color multi-info LCD screen. Not only does it let you view the vehicle's fuel consumption, but it also monitor's the hybrid system as you're driving.

A wide array of amenities are inside the 2023 Ertiga Hybrid. High-grade models come with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital automatic climate control, a keyless push-start system, ventilated front cup holders, two-tone leather seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

In terms of safety features; the Ertiga Hybrid is available with the following; anti-lock brakes, an electronic stability program, reverse parking sensors, a reverse camera, and dual front airbags.
Available colors for the Ertiga Hybrid include; Brave Khaki Pearl, Burgundy Red Pearl, Cool Black Pearl, Metallic Magma Gray 2, Silky Silver Metallic, and Snow White Pearl.

Pricing for the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga Hybrid is as follows:
Ertiga Hybrid GA M/T – PHP 954,000
Ertiga Hybrid GL M/T – PHP 1,068,000
Ertiga Hybrid GL A/T – PHP 1,103,000
