Suzuki Jimny now available in Gran Turismo 7
Aside from adding the mini 4x4, the GT7 update introduced a Jimny Cup tournament

Fans of the Suzuki Jimny rejoice! The cute mini 4x4 is now available in the digital world of Gran Turismo 7. Thanks to a recent update by Polyphony Digital, the pint-sized off-roader can now be driven and customized by players.
Part of Update 1.42 for Gran Turismo 7, the Suzuki Jimny is joined by two new cars, the BVLGARI Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo and the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept. Apart from those, two extra menus have been added to the GT7 Cafe - Collection: Nissan Motorsports (Collector Level 46 and above) and Collection: Dodge (Collector Level 32 and above).

Back to the mini 4x4, the Jimny available in GT7 is not based on the global model that the Philippine market also gets. Instead, Polyphony Digital added the JDM “kei” car version which gets a narrower body and a smaller engine - a 658cc three-cylinder turbo pushing out a humble 64 PS and 100 Nm of torque.

While the pint-sized 4x4 may look out of place in Gran Turismo 7, the Jimny has a cult-like following both in the real world and in video games. Its boxy exterior, go-anywhere capability, and high customization options make it a favorite by many, especially with the 4x4 community. This can be seen in the trailer where there are plenty of custom parts to choose from. And just like all the cars in GT7, the Jimny can be souped up to make more power and handle better.

If that’s not enough, the developers even added the “Jimny Cup” where players can duke it out on the track to see who is the better Jimny driver. Circuits that are part of the Jimny Cup include Sardegna Windmills, Willow Springs International Raceway, and Lake Louise.

For those who have yet to update their Gran Turismo 7, better boot up the game as soon as possible to enjoy and customize your very own Suzuki Jimny.
