Subaru PH to preview turbocharged 2024 Outback XT next month
Subaru will be opening its new Alabang showroom next month and will even preview the Outback XT

For quite some time, Subaru Philippines distributor Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP) has only been offering its Outback crossover/wagon with just a 2.5-liter naturally-aspirated Boxer engine. Sure, there was the 3.6-liter flat-six but it was eventually discontinued.
There is the 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer which has been available in other markets like the US but MIP has never offered it for the local Outback...until now. Come April 2, 2024, Subaru Philippines will be previewing the turbocharged version of the crossover wagon and it will be called the Outback 2.4 XT Touring EyeSight.

No exact details have been mentioned yet by the automaker. However, a quick look at what other markets get has given us a good idea of what to expect. For starters, the 2.4-liter turbocharged Outback makes 260 PS and 376 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to a Lineartronic CVT with 8 simulated ratios and the brand's signature Symmetrical AWD system.
Like the 2.5-liter version of the Outback, the turbocharged variant will also likely get a similar cabin and equipment list. That means it could come with the tablet-inspired touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay & (wired) Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, full leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with memory function for the driver, and a Harman Kardon sound system.

The 2024 Subaru Outback 2.4 XT Touring will officially be previewed at the brand's new Alabang showroom which will open next month.
