SPIED: Porsche Cayenne e-Hybrid getting a minor facelift
Porsche looks to be preparing a minor update to Cayenne e-Hybrid and Turbo e-Hybrid models

It’s been three years since Porsche updated its best-selling SUV, the Cayenne. Usually at that point in a model’s life cycle, automakers start to think about introducing a few more minor changes.
That’s exactly what our spy photographers have spotted over in Europe. While Porsche already has a Cayenne electric for its fourth-generation model, the third-generation hasn’t been forgotten, and has been photographed with some very subtle changes to its exterior.

Prototype versions of the updated Cayenne e-Hybrid and the more powerful Turbo e-Hybrid were spotted wearing camouflage on the surrounds of their headlights, giving the impression of slight alterations to its shape with incorporated turn signals and DRLs, unlike the current version that has its turn signals and DRLs on the horizontal bars of the lower grille.

Light revisions appear to have been done on the main headlight beams, while the rest of the design are largely carried over. Our spy photographers were unable to take a look inside, but the update seems to be a very minor one. That said, if an updated infotainment system comes along in the update, we won’t be surprised anymore.

Cayenne Turbo e-Hybrid
Porsche is likely to retain the 3.0-liter V6 turbo PHEV powertrain for the Cayenne e-hybrid, which currently produces a combined 470 PS and 650 Nm of torque, as well as the range-topping Turbo e-Hybrid that makes 739 PS and 950 Nm of torque. If anything, it’s emissions regulations that Porsche could be working on, specifically the Euro 7 standards.

Since it’s a relatively minor update, Porsche could be rolling the update out by this year. And hopefully, the Philippine market also gets it sooner rather than later.
