SPIED: G99 BMW M5 Touring seen with Neue Klasse redesign
Our spies managed to take pictures of the BMW M5 Touring with the Neue Klasse facelift

Our spies have been quite busy taking pictures of prototype vehicles being driven in the snow as part of their winter testing. From all-new nameplates to refreshed models, brands like BMW have been busy of late testing their latest and next-generation vehicles.
The most recent vehicle that was caught by our spies' lenses was the refreshed G99 M5 Touring, and just like the G61 5 Series Touring we spotted earlier this year, the high-performance model is about to get a makeover.

Based on the pictures our spies were able to give us, the updated M5 Touring will get the brand's Neue Klasse look, which is also going to be present on other models like the X1, the all-new 3 Series, and even the next-generation X5.
The updated M5 Touring will not get the vertical dual kidney grille design, but will get a larger set of kidney grilles. It will also receive what looks to be a new set of LED headlights that are more elongated and will be paired with a redesigned front bumper.

The side profile largely carries over, although we did notice that the camouflaged M5 Touring appears to get a new set of LED taillights. We're not entirely sure of the changes, but the taillights themselves could get new graphics to keep the wagon fresh and up-to-date with the Neue Klasse makeover.

As for the powertrain, the plug-in hybrid twin-turbo V8 engine will likely meet Euro7 regulations to pass stricter emission regulations in Europe. This could translate to a slight dip in power, but at least the M5 Touring will continue to be available with a high-performance engine.

When can we expect the refreshed M5 Touring to be officially revealed? Our spies shared with us that it's still a long way off, as the market launch of the high-performance wagon is not expected until the second half of 2027.
