Special edition Suzuki Jimny gets a more retro look
2024 Suzuki Jimny XL Heritage Edition is an exclusive throwback for the Australian market

To say the Jimny is one of Suzuki’s most popular vehicles in the market is an understatement. When the automaker brought the five-door version earlier this year, enthusiasts were interested in getting one as quickly as possible despite its high price tag.
While it may still be a 4-seater, the Jimny 5-Door has a longer wheelbase, more cabin space, and extra cargo room in the back. It also makes seating in the back easier thanks to the extra pair of doors. But if there’s one thing we wish Suzuki Philippines makes available for the Jimny, it’s for them to bring the limited edition variants.

Malaysia already had the Jimny Rhino Edition which was limited to just 30 units. Over in Australia, however, Suzuki has revealed the retro-inspired Jimny XL Heritage Edition. Based on the Jimny 5-Door, this particular 4x4 is limited to only 500 units. But what makes this vehicle special is that it comes with unique decals.
From its namesake, the Jimny XL Heritage Edition has unique red & orange decals. These serve as a throwback to the past Jimnys that used to come with the special stripes. In addition, the vehicle comes with the classic Rhino emblem and red mud flaps in the back, completing the 4x4’s vintage looks.

Available colors for the Jimny XL Heritage Edition include; Bluish Black Pearl, Chiffon Ivory, Granite Gray Metallic, Jungle Green, and White. Mechanically, the Jimny XL Heritage Edition comes with the standard 1.5-liter K15B four-cylinder engine that’s mated to either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual. It makes a humble 102 PS with 130 Nm of torque and is connected to the AllGrip Pro 4WD system.
While there’s little to no chance of the Heritage Edition coming to the Philippines, we won’t be surprised if owners (or 4x4 shops) will borrow inspiration in making their Jimny 5-Doors look just like the special edition model Australia will get.
