Special edition Jetour T-2 Stargazer looks like a Defender
The Jetour T-2 Stargazer looks ready for the great outdoors

Jetour Auto is wasting no time making special edition models of its flagship SUV. After launching it in the UAE yesterday, the automaker has just revealed a fully decked-out version of the T-2, and it looks badass.

Limited to only 3,000 units, the T-2 Stargazer (also called the Traveller Stargazer) was made possible via the brand's Jetour Makers Kingdom (JMK). This special division makes limited-run versions of Jetour vehicles. So what makes the Stargazer edition special when compared to a regular T-2?
For starters, JMK took inspiration from the Defender and equipped the SUV with plenty of exterior add-ons. A new front bumper has been installed and gets an integrated bull bar. Meanwhile, the grille is equipped with additional LED lights for better nighttime illumination. It is then complemented by flared fender extensions, side steps, taillight covers, and 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/55 all-terrain tires.

Perhaps serving as the centerpieces of the T-2 Stargazer are the roof rack with an integrated ladder and an external storage compartment on the side. As a result, both upgrades make the T-2 Stargazer look like a Land Rover Defender. There was no mention of whether Jetour made any changes to the T-2's interior.
Under the hood, the T-2 Stargazer is powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 254 PS with 390 Nm of torque and is married to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission complete with a 4WD system.

While it looks like the Stargazer will only be the special edition version of the T-2, JMK will reportedly make more unique variants in the future. Afterward, they will turn their attention to the rest of the Jetour range.
Despite the T-2 Stargazer reserved only for the Chinese market, we're hoping they also make it available outside the PRC once the T-2 is officially launched here in the Philippines.
