Shanghai 2025: Zeekr's flagship 9X hybrid SUV makes global debut

Hot on the heels of launching its exclusive 009 Grand Collector’s Edition, premium electric brand Zeekr has captured the spotlight again at the Shanghai Auto Show with the global debut of its flagship luxury SUV, the 9X. The groundbreaking model represents a significant step for the brand, aiming to set new standards in automotive design, performance, and electrification.

Marking Zeekr's first entry into the hybrid segment, the 9X's powertrain is engineered to combine the best attributes of pure electric (BEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles. It utilizes CATL's advanced Xiaoyao battery technology to deliver an all-electric range exceeding 380 kilometers, claimed to be the longest among hybrid SUVs globally.

Performance is equally impressive, with the 9X achieving a blistering 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3 seconds. Its 2.0T hybrid engine leads the segment with a 205 kW output, promising both efficiency and power.

Technological innovation extends to the vehicle's chassis and autonomous capabilities. The 9X features industry-first dual-chamber air suspension combined with active stabilizer bars, designed to provide exceptional ride comfort and agility.

Visually, the SUV stands out with 42,242 laser-engraved, diamond-cut lamp facets creating a unique "starry sky" lighting effect. Inside, it debuts Zeekr's latest G-Pilot H9 autonomous driving system, powered by dual Nvidia Thor chips and utilizing 5 LiDAR sensors. With a formidable 1,400 TOPS of computing power, the system enables advanced L3-level autonomous driving functions.

Zeekr has scheduled the 9X for a global market launch in the third quarter of 2025. The launch will coincide with the operational rollout of Zeekr's V4 Ultra-Fast charging infrastructure, capable of delivering a remarkable 1.3 MW peak charging speed.

The introduction of the 9X signifies Zeekr's bold move into the hybrid luxury space, pushing boundaries in electric range, performance, and intelligent driving technology for a comprehensive driving experience.
