It is official. The Prancing Horse is now being represented in the country by the same conglomerate that brought you San Miguel Beer, Purefoods, Ginebra, Skyway, and Red Horse Beer.
Velocita Motors, Inc., a unit of San Miguel Corporation has been officially appointed as the authorized importer distributor of Ferrari in the Philippines. Ramon S. Ang, the president and CEO of SMC will also serve as the chairman and president of VMI.

Ferrari and VMI commemorated the start of their partnership at the temporary Ferrari showroom at EDSA, presenting the 296 GTB along with the Purosangue V12 SUV that also made its official Philippine debut at the event.

“This partnership is a milestone in the history of Ferrari in the Philippines, and we would like to warmly welcome Velocita into our Ferrari family as the new exclusive importer and distributor. The Philippines is a market that we strongly believe in, one that is important to the future growth of Ferrari in the region. We are very happy to have found a strong local partner in VMI”, said Dieter Knechtel, president of Ferrari Far East and Middle East.

VMI is still completing the construction of the Ferrari PH flagship building at Connecticut Street in San Juan City, which will include an expansive showroom and full-service facilities once it becomes operational in the coming months.
But for now, the temporary showroom of Velocita Motors can also fulfill maintenance and repair using Ferrari-approved equipment, as well as cater to genuine Ferrari spare part requests. The temporary showroom is located at 169 EDSA, Brgy. Wack Wack, Greenhills East, Mandaluyong City, and is open from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
