Rox Motor aims to be the next promising enthusiast brand in PH
Overlanding is a booming recreational activity in the Philippine market, and that's what Rox Motor is all about

The year 2024 saw the entry of multiple Chinese brands into the Philippine market, with the majority joining the electrification push with their EVs and hybrid vehicles. We saw that officially take place in the 2024 Manila International Auto Show where brands from China occupied the majority of the show’s two venues.
As we enter the final quarter of the year though, another Chinese brand is setting up its operations in the country to join the push for electrification and ultimately offer its vehicles to those who have a passion for going outdoors.
Rox Motor is that new energy vehicle brand. The outdoor focus is inspired by the vision of its founder, Richard Chang - an off-road enthusiast with extensive experience. During a 2017 trip to Tibet, Chang envisioned a vehicle that could navigate extreme environments while delivering a comfortable and enriching experience.
Thus, Chang, nicknamed "Stone" among his peers, designed a vehicle that could carry families on epic journeys while exploring the world’s most stunning landscapes. Their first model called the Rox 01 embodies this vision.

In a ceremonial signing held at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 30, 2024, Rox Motor and Transcorp Incorporated officially inked their distributorship agreement the Rox 01 to the Philippine market. The official signing was done by Rox Motor Senior Director of Overseas and Key Markets Haicheng Song and Transcorp president Wilfred Chua. The momentous occasion was witnessed by Rox Motor co-founder and CEO Jarvin Yan, Transcorp Vice President Kurt Chua and Managing Director/VP Bryan Chua.

Together, the two aim to cater to customers who are early adopters of new technology, such as the range extended capabilities that the Rox 01’s hybrid system promises, along with those who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle such as exploring locations for camping and nature tripping with a vehicle that can go through different kinds of terrain.
Entering a market is one thing, and it’s another thing for a brand to survive, especially in a small yet discerning and incredibly competitive market like ours. For Rox Motor, they do present a promising proposition coming in. All they have to do now is to execute it well, and hope the market accepts what they can bring to the table.
The initial preview models of Rox 01 will be available for viewing from September 18 at Transcorp's showroom at 88 West Service Road, Valenzuela City.
