Refreshed Honda City spotted in Malaysia, will PH be next?
Will the updated Honda City first make its ASEAN debut in Malaysia?

Two months ago, Honda officially launched the 2023 City. Featuring an updated exterior and interior, the B-segment sedan gets a subtle facelift, a new semi-digital instrument cluster, a sunroof, beige leather seats, and a wireless charging pad to recharge phones easier.
With India the first market to get its hands on the updated City, we were wondering if other markets n ASEAN are set to receive it soon. Well, thanks to an eagle-eyed photographer, it might not be long before it makes its way to Southeast Asia.

According to our friends over at Paultan, the refreshed Honda City is already making rounds in Malaysia, albeit partially camouflaged. While we only got a good look at the City's updated rear, there are some apparent changes. At the lower edge of the rear bumper, we can see elements of the redesigned diffuser.
We have yet to see the front of the Malaysian-spec 2023 City. But just like the one revealed in India, we can expect it to get similar changes. These include the slimmer Solid Wing Face bar, a restyled honeycomb-style grille, and the updated foglight bezels.
Just like the Indian-spec model, the 2023 City for Malaysia will likely be available with a naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter i-VTEC inline-four with 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, as well as the electrified e:HEV 1.5-liter engine which puts out a combined 126 PS and 253 Nm of torque.

With Honda seemingly getting ready to reveal the City in Malaysia soon, we're wondering if Honda Cars Philippines Inc (HCPI) is also making similar preparations. More importantly, we're curious if the hybrid model HCPI plans to launch soon will be the City e:HEV.
For now, all we can do is wait and hope to see a camouflaged unit or get a hold of insider information about the refreshed Honda City.
