Refreshed 2023 Honda Brio ready to take on all-new Wigo
Honda's smallest hatchback for ASEAN market is refreshed for 2023

After four years, fans of the small hatchback segment can now look at the Honda Brio in a new light.
PT Honda Prospect Motor Indonesia has launched the refreshed Brio, which has been revamped to take on the likes of the all-new Wigo, all-new Celerio, and the Mirage hatchback.

For starters, the Brio has received a slight facelift, courtesy of a bigger front grille with a new pattern. The new bumper has a design that combines the lower intakes together and is flanked by a pair of LED foglights that look similar to the all-new BR-V.
Other changes include a keyless entry system for the RS variant, as well as a revised color scheme for its 15-inch wheels. Lower variants of the Brio also get a new 14-inch wheel design and a new Electric Lime Green color option.

Inside, Honda introduced minor changes to the Brio's cabin. For the RS variant, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen head unit that's fitted with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other interior revisions include a revised instrument cluster, a push-to-start button, and new seat patterns.

Powering the refreshed Brio is the same 1.2-liter, inline-four cylinder single overhead cam i-VTEC engine that produces 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque. Transmission options have also been carried over, which means the Brio is still available with a 5-speed manual transmission and a CVT.

What's worth noting is that the Brio has not received the Honda Sensing suite for 2023, which means the WR-V remains Honda's most attainable vehicle in the ASEAN market with the aforementioned ADAS.

For now, Honda Cars Philippines has not yet announced plans as to when will the refreshed Brio arrive in the country. But since the local units come from Indonesia, there's a good chance we won't have to wait too long to get the refreshed model.
