Ram 1500 EV to take on F-150 Lightning, Silverado EV
Ram confirms the arrival of battery electric pick-up truck in 2024

The Ford F-150 Lighting and Chevy Silverado EV will have even more competition in the coming years. Stellantis officially confirmed that a battery-electric Ram 1500 pickup truck is in the works and will debut sometime in 2024.
Ahead of the EV truck’s debut, the company launched a new website called RamRevolution.com. There, Ram can gather comments, questions, and concerns from customers. Users can also receive updates about the truck, along with exclusive content and images. The automaker says the website will give consumers a better idea of the truck’s development process.

“Launched as a stand-alone truck brand in 2009, Ram revolutionized the pickup truck segment once, and is laser-focused on doing so again with the best electric trucks on the market. Our new Ram Revolution campaign will allow us to engage with consumers in a close and personal way, so we can gather meaningful feedback, understand their wants and needs and address their concerns – ultimately allowing us to deliver the best electric pickup truck on the market with the Ram 1500 BEV,” said Mike Koval Jr., Ram brand CEO.
It’s cool to know Ram wants to hear customer feedback for their upcoming electric pickup truck. However, we wonder just how much customer feedback will be translated into the production model.

Aside from launching the new website, Ram also released a preview of the EV platform that will underpin the electric pickup truck. The automaker also released a design sketch of what the truck will look like. The image doesn’t reveal much, though. We’re also not sure whether the final product will closely resemble what we’re seeing now.
Ram is late to the EV pickup truck game compared to Ford or Chevrolet. The F-150 Lightning will arrive later this year while the Silverado EV is expected to go on sale in 2023. Let’s not forget Tesla also has the Cybertruck coming in a year or two.
Do you think Ram can still grab some market share or are they too late to the party? Let us know what you think in the comments.
