Quezon City LGU to implement new public parking rules along Morato, Timog Avenue

If you’re a motorist who frequently does business or works around the Tomas Morato and Timog Avenue areas, be advised.

The Quezon City Government is set to do a dry run of the new public parking regulations around the aforementioned areas, which will begin on March 23, 2026.

Based on the advisory, the public parking areas will remain free to use in a first-come, first-served basis. However, the QC gov’t will be imposing a three-hour limit for usage of the parking slots, with parking attendants from the QC Transport and Traffic Management Department (TTMD) issuing official parking tickets.

After the three-hour limit, owners and/or drivers of the parked vehicles are required to move their cars and look for another open parking slot. If not, a notice of violation shall then be issued to vehicle owners that refused or did not move their cars to other parking slots.

The dry run covers the whole stretch of Tomas Morato from Timog to E. Rodriguez Avenue, and the whole stretch of Timog Avenue that runs from Quezon Avenue to EDSA.

The advisory says the new public parking regulations will remain in place until the new public pay parking ordinance has been passed.
