Prodrive sim rig priced like all-new WRX
Prodrive reveals top-of-the-line driving simulator that looks like a couch from the future

Now that’s a looker! Say Hello to the Prodrive driving simulator. This is by far the world’s most beautiful simulator rig and it will be delivered to lucky buyers later this year.

Prodrive chairman David Richards wanted to create a striking piece of home sculpture that incorporated gaming and esports. He wanted to have a piece that married technology and contemporary furniture that you can display like a grand piano but is functional and won’t be tucked away.

Sporting a bespoke PC with 16GB of memory and a 12GB GeForce RTX graphics card, Prodrive has worked with design and engineering house CALLUM on the exterior details. The simulator will feature a sculpted carbon monocoque housing the Cobra Nogaro Street driver’s seat, AOC’s 49-inch dual-QHD 5k resolution curved monitor with a 165hz refresh rate.
It also has a Precision SIM LM Pro with 5 rotary dials, 12 push buttons, and carbon fiber paddles on the steering wheel with a Simucube 2 Pro steering motor and a mechanical pedal box which is also electrically adjustable. Dimensions will be 3300 mm in length, 800 mm in width, and a height of 1350 millimeters. And will include the game Asset Corsa installed.

Giving a floating look with sixteen layers of birch wrapped around the cockpit, the simulator is aimed to give the driver an immersive experience that rivals the cockpit of any car. Other accessories will include a Bowers & Wilkins PX7 set of headphones and a Bluetooth keyboard which can be found tucked in the side pocket of the cockpit. The racing helmet will be optional of course.

The Prodrive Racing Simulator will be priced at GBP 39,000 or an astounding PHP 2.63 million excluding VAT, duties, and shipping. Once the customer has registered their interest, they will be invited to Prodrive’s Banbury HQ where a tour of the company and a trial of the simulator will greet them. Once they are decided to purchase the simulator, Prodrive will deliver and install the simulator at their home.

To say that this is without a doubt the centerpiece of your living room is an understatement. But with the price tag, you will definitely not tuck this away in a corner.
