Price Drop: BYD Dolphin EV now retails for PHP 1.398M
BYD Philippines offering more attractive pricing for 2023 Dolphin EV hatchback

BYD Philippines wants to accelerate the use of EVs in the country, and they are doing it by making one of its most affordable models come with even more attractive pricing.

The brand announced at the 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit that they are slashing the retail price of the BYD Dolphin EV. From PHP 1.668 million, the EV hatchback now retails for PHP 1.398 million – a PHP 270k price cut.
Along with the new prices, the new BYD Dolphin EV units coming from AC Motors will come equipped with a CCS2 charging connector, which offers better compatibility compared to the previous GB-type connectors when it comes to battery recharging.

But as for the range itself, we can still expect the BYD Dolphin to reach up to 405 kilometers before running out of battery juice based on the NEDC cycle. Its 44.9 kWh LFP Blade Batteries power a 95 PS single electric motor placed in front that allows the EV hatchback to reach a top speed of 130 km/h, and accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. It also has V2L (vehicle to load) technology that allows the hatchback to turn into a power source for phones, electric fans, and other electronic devices.
For those wanting to switch to EVs, you can check out the Dolphin along with the rest of the BYD lineup at BYD Philippines' flagship dealership at Quezon Avenue.
