Porsche has produced their 100,000th Taycan
Porsche celebrates Taycan production milestone with 100,000th model built

The Taycan may be considered one of Stuttgart’s newest models. But the all-electric saloon has just achieved a production milestone despite being first introduced around three years ago.
Last November 7, 2022, the 100,000th Taycan rolled off the production line, marking an important achievement in Porsche’s EV future. Not only did the Taycan achieve such fast figures in terms of production, but it was also able to achieve all these despite the pandemic and parts/chip shortages.

The 100,000th Taycan that recently rolled off the Zuffenhausen line is a Turbo S that’s finished in Neptune Blue and is headed for the UK which is one of the top three markets of the electric sedan. The other two top markets globally for the Porsche Taycan are the U.S. and China.
To further commemorate the 100,000th production milestone, the company also promoted the Taycan’s reliability by highlighting owners that have already racked up over 100,000 km on their Taycans. These include Jean-Hubert Revolon from France who has accumulated 188,199 km in his Taycan 4S and Guillaume Takvorian who also has a Taycan 4S that has covered 113,977 km.

Porsche themselves even has a Taycan owner in the form of Markus Kreutel, Head of Body Planning. In just 18 months since February 2021, Kreutel has already done 134,911 km going to and from work, as well as traveling for business in a Taycan Turbo company car.
While the Taycan has already achieved such a milestone, it still has a lot of ground to cover in terms of chasing the production numbers of its other siblings. In 2017, Porsche produced its 1-millionth 911, a Carrera S that now sits at the company’s museum in Stuttgart. Meanwhile, the Cayenne achieved its 1-millionth production status in 2020 just before Christmas.

As the automotive industry shift towards electrified vehicles, Porsche plans to make more EVs which include the upcoming Macan EV.
In the Philippines, Taycan EV demand with the official Porsche distributor in the country is really strong. That comes as no surprise as that is what the distributor is seeing with their other premium brands that have EV models.
