Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid is the 2025 World Performance Car
The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid is coming soon to the Philippines

Porsche surprised everyone last year when the Stuttgart-based automaker revealed its first-ever electrified 911, the 2025 GTS. Fast forward to 2025, the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Hybrid just won a prestigious award.
A jury composed of 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries has named the new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS the 2025 World Performance Car. The recognition secures for Porsche its eighth title in the category at the prestigious World Car Awards held annually.
The new 911 Carrera GTS, which topped 17 finalists, is set to debut in the Philippines soon. With the sports car’s performance-focused hybrid power plant, Porsche takes its extensive experience and expertise on the racetrack and applies these to a road-going model. The new 911 Carrera GTS’s combination of instant torque and light weight is ideal for dynamic drives and daily use.

The world’s leading automotive journalists cited the new 911 Carrera GTS’ motorsports-derived T-Hybrid technology as a major consideration in the model clinching the World Performance Car title.
As mentioned before, the 911 Carrera GTS is equipped with the T-Hybrid system, which pairs a new 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine with two electric motors integrated into the transmission and the turbocharger (eTurbo). The hybrid configuration produces a combined output of 541 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. It enables the new 911 Carrera GTS to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat, and to reach a top speed of 312 km/h.
The eTurbo eliminates lag by using an electric motor to instantly spin the turbine shaft, delivering boost pressure regardless of engine speed. It also serves as a generator, recovering energy to charge the car’s compact 1.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. A second motor, built into the eight-speed PDK transmission, provides additional torque and recuperates up to 40 kilowatts during braking and coasting.

Also worth noting is the fact that despite the addition of hybrid components, the new 911 Carrera GTS weighs identically to its predecessor, maintaining the balance and agility for which the 911 is known.
With Porsche now claiming a total of nine World Car Awards, eight of which have been for performance models, the recent accolade underscores the brand's ongoing commitment to blending innovation with dynamic driving excellence.
