Plug-in hybrid Jetour T2 Lightning debuts in PH this week
The Jetour T2 lineup will soon be joined by a new plug-in hybrid model

Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) is set to offer more plug-in hybrid (PHEV) vehicles for customers to choose from. They already have the Dashing i-DM and X70 Lightning i-DM PHEVs, but the automaker believes there's room for more.

Set to make its presence felt at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is the Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM. That's right, the go-anywhere SUV from Jetour is set to become available with an electrified powertrain that can run on pure electric power as well as emit fewer carbon emissions.
The plug-in hybrid SUV will officially debut on April 10, 2025, at the World Trade Center Manila and will join the likes of the X70 Lightning i-DM, which was launched last month. But what can interested customers expect from the T2 Lightning PHEV?

While official specifications are not yet available, a quick look at what other markets get has given us a good idea of what to expect. For starters, the plug-in hybrid T2 will get a smaller 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that's helped along by dual electric motors and a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack. The engine alone makes a decent 156 PS and 220 Nm of pull, while the electric motors deliver an additional 224 PS and 390 Nm of torque.
With a full tank and a fully charged battery, Jetour claims the T2 Lightning i-DM is capable of traveling up to 1,000 km. It can also travel up to 100 km on battery power alone. Last but not least, the vehicle supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) that can power up appliances or a worksite if needed.

Witness the official launch of the Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM PHEV when MIAS 2025 opens its doors to the public later this week.
