PIMS 2024: Suzuki eVX Concept makes electrifying PH debut
Production version of the Suzuki eVX is expected to arrive in 2025

This year's Philippine International Motor Show saw Suzuki not just reveal the Rhino Edition of the Jimny. Apart from that, the Japanese automaker also highlighted its electric future with the debut of the eVX Concept.
First revealed in India earlier this year, the concept EV showcases Suzuki's plan to build an electric crossover that combines style, tech, and a zero-emissions powertrain. Dubbed the “Emotional Versatile Crossover” (hence the eVX name), the concept car features an upright posture that's complemented by a tall ground clearance, large alloy wheels, and a distinct LED lighting signature.
It's underpinned by a dedicated EV platform that will ensure the eVX will offer class-leading cabin comfort as well as connected features. Suzuki released no images of the eVX's cabin although it's safe to say it could have a futuristic design. Size-wise, the eVX concept measures 4300mm long, 1800mm wide, and 1600mm tall. This means the concept car adheres to Suzuki's philosophy of making small cars.

Powering the eVX concept is a 60 kWh battery pack that Suzuki claims will give the concept a range of up to 550 km based on the Modified Indian Driving Cycle (MIDC). No exact output figures were shared although the automaker did say the concept benefits from strong 4x4 DNA with advanced EV features to carry forward Suzuki's 4x4 legacy into the electric age. More than likely, this means the production version of the eVX will come with AWD capability.
“The eVX aims to carry forward Suzuki’s 4x4 legacy into the new electric era, delivering the true Suzuki SUV driving experience,” said Norihide Takei, Director & General Manager of Suzuki Philippines' Automobile Division.
The production version of the eVX Concept is scheduled to be introduced to the market by 2025. With that, perhaps it might not be long before we get to see teasers of the upcoming vehicle.
