PIMS 2024: MG previews all-new HS PHEV
MG Motor PH wants to expand its offerings with next-generation HS crossover

After making its world debut just a few months ago in the UK, MG Motor Philippines has given a preview of the all-new HS at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). Featuring a more aggressive design and a more spacious cabin, the next-generation HS is part of MG’s 100th anniversary celebration and highlights the brand’s commitment to offering more value-packed vehicles.
Under the hood, the 2025 MG HS is available with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain that comes with a 1.5L four-cylinder engine that puts out 142 PS and is assisted by a 209 PS electric motor and 24.7 kWh battery pack. Power is then sent to the front wheels via a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). The HS PHEV also comes with up to 100 km of EV range and a total range of up to 1,065 km.

Design-wise, the next-generation HS comes with a sportier appearance thanks to a more dynamic-looking exterior that consists of a prominent grille, slimmer LED headlights, aggressive bumpers, a longer wheelbase, full-width LED light bar on the tailgate, X-shaped LED taillights, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. In terms of size, the all-new HS measures 4655mm long, 1890mm wide, 1664mm tall (-14mm), and has a 2765mm (+45mm) wheelbase.

Open the doors and the 2025 MG HS welcomes occupants into a tech-laden cabin. The dashboard comes with a pair of 12.3-inch high-definition displays that serve as the vehicle’s instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto and comes with a wireless charging pad for mobile devices. For extra visibility all around, the HS is also equipped with a 360-degree camera system.

Other key features present inside the 2025 HS include a rolling navigation system, power-adjustable front seats, an 8-speaker sound system, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system (PHEV only), full leather upholstery with contrast stitching, front & rear center armrests, and a host of intelligent driver aids for extra peace of mind on the road.
You can check out the MG HS PHEV from October 24 to 27 at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show at World Trade Center Manila.
