PIMS 2022: Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T previewed with 254 PS, AWD
Chery's flagship SUV will be available with AWD and a bigger 2.0-liter T-GDI engine

Chery Auto Philippines (CAP) has just previewed another variant to its flagship SUV model line at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show. Say hello to the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T, which will slot between the non-hybrid Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 and the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV.
Straight on to the most obvious change, this Chery Tiggo 8 Pro gets a 2.0-liter turbocharged powerplant that delivers 254 PS at 5500 rpm and 390 Nm of torque from 2000-4000 rpm, 59 PS and 100 Nm more than the Tiggo 8 Pro with the 1.6-liter T-GDI engine launched last March at the Manila International Auto Show.

It will effectively make the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T Chery's most powerful non-hybrid offering in the market. Like the Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6, the new variant's engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. But now, the wet-type DCT delivers power to all four wheels with Chery's all-wheel-drive system.
Like the Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6 and the PHEV model, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T will be loaded with premium features and amenities inside. It will get the same full leather interior as the PHEV, soft padding over various touch points, and LED ambient lighting. In addition, the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system now gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while other features such as wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone auto climate control will be standard in the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T.

The Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T will also get advanced driver-assist systems like adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist with lane departure warning, blind-spot detection, front collision warning, rear-cross traffic alert, and automatic high-beam.
If you're thinking of putting down a reservation for Chery's luxurious and powerful 7-seater flagship SUV, the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T is on display at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show from September 15 to 18, 2022. Chery Auto PH says the Tiggo 8 Pro 2.0T AWD will retail for PHP 2.1-million.
