PH-spec JAC T9 pickup to get 2.0L turbo-diesel engine
It looks like we can expect the JAC T9 pickup to debut at MIAS 2025

As early as last year, JAC Cars Philippines gave us a preview of the T9 pickup. It's set to be the brand's premier midsize pickup truck and is set to take on the stalwarts of the segment. The brand plans to launch it at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) and it could come with a rear multi-link suspension for better riding comfort.
As of late, however, JAC has been quiet regarding the T9 pickup truck. But based on recent activities by the Land Transportation Office (LTO), we can expect the JAC T9 to make its local debut very soon. The LTO recently released new memorandum circulars for newly homologated vehicles in the country and one of those is the JAC T9.

Based on the agency's document, the local-spec T9 will get a 1999cc (or 2.0L) turbo-diesel engine. Moreover, the T9 will measure 5330mm long, 1965mm wide, and 1920mm tall. It will also have a 3110mm wheelbase, a 1275mm overhang, and 210mm of ground clearance. For cargo-carrying, the T9 is rated to carry 1,000 kg or 1 ton which makes it more than capable of hauling plenty of luggage.
Other key details about the upcoming T9 pickup truck are that it will have 265/60 series tires, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a curb weight of around 1,945 kg.

Official specifications have yet to be revealed by JAC Cars Philippines although all variants will most likely come with the 2.0L turbo-diesel that makes 170 PS and 410 Nm of torque. It will then be paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and could likely be offered in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants. Amenities such as a touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, LED headlights & taillights, full leather upholstery, and a digital instrument panel may be available on the PH-spec T9.
With one month to go before MIAS 2025, perhaps we can expect teasers from JAC before the annual auto show opens to the public in April.
