Peugeot PH under new management, to open 7 new dealers
Peugeot is looking to expand in the Philippines under new distributor

Peugeot has just been relaunched in the country, and it’s looking to expand its market reach in the Philippines.
As of today, Peugeot Philippines is under new management. This was made possible after Columbian Autocar Corporation and Astara (formerly Berge Auto of Spain), one of the leading automobile distributors in Europe and Latin America, went into a joint venture to become the new distributor of Peugeot in the Philippines.
Leading Peugeot Philippines will be the new managing director, Raoul Picello. The company plans to expand not only its model lineup but also increase the number of Peugeot dealerships in the country. Currently, the automaker only has four locations; Peugeot Pasig, Peugeot Quezon Ave, Peugeot Iloilo, and Peugeot Pampanga.
According to Picello, they are looking at opening 7 more dealerships in the country, as well as working with new partners. Moreover, Peugeot also announced its digital transformation in order to capitalize on its market expansion in the country. They plan to start this by Q2 of 2022. In addition, there will be a new lineup of vehicles which will be headlined by the all-new 5008.
As mentioned earlier, Peugeot used to be under CAC of Palawan Governor Jose ‘Pepito’ Alvarez. Not only did it have the French automaker, but CAC also used to be the official distributor of Kia and BMW in the country. However, San Miguel Corporation now has majority ownership of BMW. Similarly, AC Industrials of Ayala Corporation now has a majority stake in Kia in the country.
