Peugeot PH posts record sales with 285% growth
Under new distributorship, Peugeot posts its best sales performance yet in the Philippine market

The Peugeot brand is roaring into the new year with a lot of wind in its sails.
After being relaunched under the new Astara distributorship in January last year, Peugeot announced it has posted its best-ever sales performance yet in the Philippine market. The French brand recorded a 285% increase in its overall retail sales in 2022 compared to 2021.
In addition, the company says their year-long sales momentum continued through December, as they also recorded their best month-on-month performance to conclude the year, making Peugeot one of the fastest-growing automotive brands in the country.
“It’s been a remarkable year for us, from beginning to end, and we’re extremely proud of how the allure of the Peugeot brand and our vehicles connect with so many Filipino customers. We’re grateful for the positive response of the market, for the investment and commitment of our dealers, and for the support of our friends in the media who helped share our story in 2022,” said Maricar Parco, brand head of Peugeot Philippines.
Peugeot's record year is attributed to the huge customer demand for the Lion brand’s four new models: the all-new 2008, 3008, 5008 crossovers and the Traveller Premium van. In addition, the French brand's bigger market reach is due to the fact that from only four dealership locations in the country, Peugeot now has 13 operational showrooms nationwide.
Parco also shared Peugeot is about to open their Iloilo and Cagayan de Oro outlets, plus more in the months to come to bring the brand closer to its target of 18 dealerships by year-end.
