Pet-friendly Jaecoo J5 HEV coming to PH
Jaecoo to complete its New Energy Vehicle lineup with J5 HEV

The B-SUV market will soon say hello to another contender, this time from Jaecoo.
Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines Inc. (OJPH) just announced that they will soon launch the Jaecoo J5, which will serve as the brand’s first-ever hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). With it, OJPH says the J5 will officially complete the brand’s comprehensive New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup in the country.
The Jaecoo J5 first arrived in Southeast Asia by way of Thailand and Indonesia. In the former, the J5 achieved a “double championship” in November 2025, ranking first in sales and registrations within its segment. Over in Indonesia, the J5 became an instant hit with orders exceeding 10,000 units in its first month.

Once it debuts in the Philippines, the Jaecoo J5 HEV is poised to become a premier choice for first-time hybrid buyers who are looking for a quality and accessible vehicle that’s also exempt from number coding.
“We are bringing the J5 HEV to the Philippines to prove that high-value hybrid mobility is a choice available to all. By completing the NEV lineup, we are ensuring that every Filipino has access to the most advanced, sustainable, and reliable automotive technology today,” said Fritz Gerald De Ocampo, Marketing Manager at OJPH.
Official specifications have yet to be revealed, but the automaker has revealed some of its key specifications. For starters, the J5 HEV is capable of averaging 5.3L per 100 km (or 18.8 km/L) and is rated to have a range of over 1,000 km. Moreover, the J5 HEV has a combined system output of 221 PS and 295 Nm of torque, which makes it powerful and efficient. Last but not least, Jaecoo says the J5 HEV will have a four-link independent rear suspension for a smoother & more stable ride compared to typical entry-level SUVs.

As mentioned before, the Jaecoo J5 HEV is more than just a car, as it’s also pet-friendly. It features a “Baby Land Rover”-inspired aesthetic and has a pet-friendly interior made of anti-bacterial and scratch-resistant materials that are easy to clean. It will also be complemented by a curated selection of car-compatible pet accessories, including specialized board steps for pets, a dedicated pet-feeding system, and secure trunk barriers to ensure your pets travel in comfort & style.
Expect the Jaecoo J5 HEV to stir the B-SUV market soon.
