Panoramic Roof Issue: Toyota PH recalls over 5,000 Yaris Cross HEV units
Toyota Motor Philippines announces recall for 5,086 units of Yaris Cross HEV

It looks like Toyota’s production issues from its Daihatsu subsidiary continue to surface.
Toyota Motor Philippines has announced a recall affecting 5,086 Yaris Cross HEV units made from May 29, 2023 to November 18, 2024.
The issue stems from the panoramic glass roof that had an incorrect application of glass primer, which could have a reduced adhesive bond between the roof glass and panel. In worst cases, the panoramic glass roof could detach from the vehicle’s structure and increase the risk of accident to other road users.
Involved customers will be notified by Toyota Motor Philippines through Official Notification Letter and will be invited by authorized Toyota Dealers to inspect the Panoramic Roof Glass and if necessary repair / replace it with a new and improved one at no charge to the vehicle owners.
Affected owners are highly encouraged to immediately set an appointment with any authorized Toyota dealer to perform the necessary inspection and if necessary, repair / replace the Panoramic Roof Glass to prevent problems from occurring.
Customers may also schedule the repair during the Periodic Maintenance appointment if the vehicle is already due or approaching its regular maintenance schedule. Moreover, customers may also check if the Toyota vehicle is included in any active Service Campaign at https://online.toyota.com.ph/service-campaign.
