NLEX ramps up traffic management measures for holiday rush
Plan your trips accordingly and prepare for a mass exodus of motorists from Metro Manila

With only 6 days left before Christmas, plenty of motorists are preparing to make the journey back home to visit relatives and family members outside Metro Manila. As a result, we can expect the expressways to be packed with plenty of cars in the coming days.
To give every motorist peace of mind while on the road, NLEX Corporation is ramping up its traffic management measures in anticipation of the increase in traffic volume this coming holiday. From December 23 to January 3, the tollway company will enhance its operations along the NLEX-SCTEX as part of its “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” motorist assistance program.

Traffic management teams will monitor the traffic situations in Balintawak, Mindanao, Karuhatan, Valenzuela (Paso de Blas), Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Sta. Rita, Pulilan, San Simon, San Fernando, Clark South, Tarlac, Tipo, and Subic Freeport Expressway (SFEX) as a high volume of vehicles is expected in these areas.
NLEX Corp. will field more than 1,000 patrol crews traffic marshals, security teams, and toll lane personnel. Medical services and incident response teams will also be deployed at strategic areas to ensure they will be able to address motorists.
In case motorists need their vehicles towed, NLEX Corp. will offer free towing to the nearest exit for Class 1 or light vehicles. This free service is available from December 23, 6:00 AM to December 26, 6:00 AM and from January 1, 2023, 6:00 AM until January 3, 2023, 6:00 AM.

“As more people are expected to gather and celebrate this festive season, more motorists are also expected to travel. We would like to encourage them to take their trips during nonpeak hours and use RFID for faster transactions at the toll plazas. “we will continue our efforts to provide safe and convenient journeys,” said J. Luigi L. Bautista, president and GM of NLEX Corp.
With only a few days left before the holidays, motorists are advised to plan their trips accordingly and to depart at off-peak hours.
