Nissan PH to launch Ariya EV in 2025?
Land Transportation Office releases homologation documents for Nissan Ariya EV

Nissan has recently had some well-documented issues regarding concerns about its future. But still, the show must go on for the Japanese manufacturer.
In the Philippines, it’s been over two years since Nissan launched an all-new vehicle with the Z sports car. For the volume sector, their most recent launch is the Kicks e-Power. They have been teasing models such as the X-Trail e-Power and the Magnite back at PIMS 2024, but the show finished without Nissan PH announcing anything about a particular launch for the two.
However, for 2025, we came across a document that could give hints for Nissan’s next activities in the Philippine market. We learned that the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has released homologation documents for the Nissan Ariya EV.
The particular model at hand packs 394 PS in its electric motor, which means it is likely to be the Ariya EV with e-4ORCE AWD. Its ternary lithium battery gives it a range of up to 533 km on a single charge. According to the document, DC recharging for the Ariya takes 35 minutes, while AC recharging takes about 14 hours.
While Nissan already previewed the Ariya EV at last year’s MIAS, the homologation document does not necessarily mean that the units will be sold at official Nissan Philippines dealerships, as some gray market importers have also started to import EVs into the country.
