Nissan PH to launch 2023 Terra Sport this weekend
Upcoming Nissan Terra Sport could be the continuation of the Terra Black Edition

The last time Nissan launched a special edition of the Terra was back in 2021 when they revealed the Terra VL Black Edition. Based on the pre-facelift version, the SUV trades chrome for a plethora of blacked-out trim pieces and accents. Not only that, it also gets some minor revisions here and there.
Alas, it did not last long in the Philippine market as it was officially discontinued when the 2022 Terra refresh was officially revealed. Since then, Nissan Philippines Inc (NPI) appeared to have ditched making a blacked-out special edition of the Terra.

But come February 25, 2023, NPI will be launching a new variant of the Terra and it could be the direct successor of the Black Edition from two years ago. Set to be revealed this coming weekend is the 2023 Nissan Terra Sport.
It will be unveiled to the public online via the company’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel at 4:00 PM this Saturday. The exact details and specs are not yet available at this time, but based on the teaser picture provided, we can already expect what Nissan will eventually reveal this coming weekend.
After brightening up the teaser image, it looks like the new Terra Sport will swap chrome accents for blacked-out trim pieces. From the front grille to the foglight bezels, as well as the side mirror caps, door handles, and alloy wheels, Nissan did not scimp on black paint for its latest variant. We might also see the rear tailgate and spoiler don the blacked-out finish instead of the usual chrome finish.

Other details about the Terra Sport are not yet available at this time. However, we also could see the interior of the SUV come with several neat touches of black. Perhaps we might see it with unique black leather seats or gloss black trim pieces that further spruce up the cabin of the Terra.
Since the Terra will most likely only come with cosmetic enhancements, the tried-and-tested 2.5-liter turbo-diesel inline-four will be carried over from the regular Terra variants. With that, customers who are curious to reserve a Terra Sport can expect the SUV to pump out 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
With just a few days left before its official premiere, we’ll keep you up-to-date in case there are new details regarding the 2023 Terra Sport.
