Nissan Ariya EV to travel from North to South Pole
Nissan and Chris Ramsey will attempt the world's first all-electric pole-to-pole adventure

Here comes the mother of all roadtrips.
To show that electric vehicles have what it takes to tackle the harshest of environments, Nissan, together with British adventurer Chris Ramsey, is embarking on a 27,000-km long journey from the North Pole to the South Pole.

Departing in March 2023, Ramsey and his team will use a modified Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE crossover that sports a rugged exterior fitted with upgraded wheels, tires, and suspension. Meanwhile, a second showroom stock Ariya will act as a support vehicle throughout the Americas.
The adventure will see Ramsey and the Nissan Ariya travel across several regions and continents with temperatures ranging from -30 degrees to 30 degrees Celsius. Ramsey will begin the journey from the Arctic through North, Central, and South America before crossing to Antarctica.

Prior to the expedition, Chris Ramsey has been adventuring in electric vehicles for over a decade. Back in 2017, he and his wife traveled over 16,000 kilometers in 56 days using the Nissan Leaf EV, and in the process, became the first pair to complete the Mongol rally in an all-electric vehicle.
“We’re proud to announce our partnership with Chris Ramsey and the Pole to Pole expedition team. With e-4ORCE control technology providing enhanced stability and traction on a variety of surfaces, we know it will be the perfect partner for Chris and his team on their challenging all-electric journey”. said Nissan Executive Vice President Asako Hoshino, global head of marketing and sales.
Just when we thought coast-to-coast travels are far enough, wait until Ramsey and the Nissan Ariya complete the pole-to-pole adventure. Wonder how long that would take.
