New York 2016 Preview: Subaru partially reveals all-new Impreza
2017 Subaru Impreza to debut at New York Auto Show; will use new Subaru modular Global Platform.

Subaru has confirmed that the all-new Impreza will make its global debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show later this month.
A single teaser photo was released by Subaru showing the vehicle's sharp-looking headlights, large honeycomb grill, sculpted hood and aggressive bumper.
The 2017 Impreza is the first Subaru to use the brand's new global platform which is said to deliver a more engaging and dynamic drive as well as a more comfortable ride. The Japanese automaker also said that the new global platform is "at least 70-percent" more rigid compared to the outgoing chassis. Moreover, Subaru's new global platform can accommodate gasoline, electric and plug-in hybrid power units.
The 2017 Impreza was previewed with concepts displayed during last year's Tokyo Motor Show and Los Angeles Auto Show. As a review, the Impreza 5-Door concept debuted in Tokyo while the Impreza Sedan concept was unveiled in Los Angeles.
As of this writing, Subaru has yet to release the powertrain details of the 2017 Impreza.
