New PNP Toyota Hilux and Innova fleet is ready for duty
The boys in blue continue to upgrade its fleet of personnel transport carriers and 4x4 vehicles

Late last year, the Philippine National Police (PNP) upgraded its fleet with brand new vehicles in order to boost its capability and visibility. The PNP received a total of 240 vehicles that consist of 13 shuttle buses, 90 4x4 troop carriers, and 127 police patrol vehicles that were acquired via the PNP's Capability Enhancement Program 2021 totaling PHP 818,175,766.
Today, the PNP has acquired more police vehicles as part of its continued logistical enhancement program in support of field operations. This time, the boys in blue recently received 11 vehicles in total. These include 8 personnel 4x4 carriers based on the Toyota Hilux and 3 light transport vehicles based on the Toyota Innova.
The new vehicles were procured as part of the PHP 35,300,000 funding that was secured through the Congress-Introduced Increase in Appropriation for the Fiscal Year 2021.
“This initiative is a very big help to the Philippine National Police in terms of enhancing our mobility capability. Ito ay di lamang po napakalaking tulong sa ating PNP but to the community they serve as well,” said PNP Officer-in-Charge Police Lieutenant General Vicente Danao Jr.
According to Police Major General (PMGen) Rolando E. Olay, Director for Logistics and Chairman of NHQ Bids and Awards Committee, the personnel carriers will be distributed to 8 municipal police stations of Aurora Province. These include Baler, Dingalan, Casiguran, Dipaculao, Dilasag, Maria Aurora, Dinalungan and San Luis. As for the 3 light transport vehicles, they will be intended for the PNPA and PNTI.
With the newly-acquired vehicles ready for duty, don't be surprised to see these vehicles patrolling the roads soon.
