New Nissan PH president visits North EDSA dealership
Nissan's new Philippine president visits Autospeedygo along North EDSA

It's official, the new boss of Nissan Philippines Inc (NPI) is now in the country. That's right, Yasuhisa Masuda has officially made his way to the country to lead the automaker. He replaces outgoing president Juan Manuel Hoyos who will return across the Pacific to take a lead role within Nissan Latin America (LATAM).
Masuda, together with Hoyos, visited one of NPI's biggest dealerships, Nissan North EDSA operated by Autospeedygo group. The dealer visit was hosted by the dealer group's president Vincent Licup.

During the dealership visit, Hoyos was given a plaque of appreciation by Licup, attributing his leadership and commitment to bringing Nissan to new heights under his tenure.
Under the stewardship of Hoyos, Nissan Philippines experienced strong growth and was able to tally a solid 27,136 unit sales in the 2023 calendar year. This translates to a huge 27.87% growth over the previous year and has also allowed Nissan to take a 6.15% market share in the country. This makes the automaker the fourth overall manufacturer in our combined sales figures.

With Masuda taking the reins starting this month, it will be interesting to see where the executive will take the Nissan brand during his term.
