New F-150 is the first Ford to offer a swinging tailgate
Called the Pro Access Tailgate, it offers 37, 70, and 100-degree opening positions

Ford gives the 2024 F-150 more power, better looks, and more tools, including a dual-action tailgate that now features handles, steps, and work surfaces. The trims from XL through Platinum Plus and off-road-ready models like Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R received significant updates.

The classic grille for the F-150 gets redesigned using premium materials and colors to complement the color and shape of the vehicle. Models like the Lariat and Platinum have a more sophisticated version that makes them recognizable as a Ford F-Series truck.
All models have C-Clamp daytime running lamps signature lighting and new wheel options ranging from blacked out to chrome and multiple wheel designs depending on trim choice.
Every material in the cabin of the Ford F-150 is held to the highest standards of quality. The fabric on the seats is specifically designed to meet the high-intensity use cases, while the new grain selection for the F-150 was specifically chosen for its durability and scratch resistance. Even the grain patterns used in front-end materials are designed to minimize damage from rock chips.
Ford cabins are always known to be high-tech and it is no different with the 2024 F-150. All models get SYNC 4 with a 12-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen and a 12-inch cluster screen behind the steering wheel. Customers can opt for the Head-Up Display offered on the F-150 for the first time.

Ford gave the 2024 F-150 several engine options to match the power for the job you need to get done. It has a 3.5-liter EcoBoost, 3.5-liter PowerBoost (hybrid), 3.5-liter High Output (only for the F-150 Raptor), 5.0-liter V8, 5.2-liter supercharged V8 (only for the F-150 Raptor R), and a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost with more horsepower and torque for the base model.
Truck owners who need available power to charge anything from personal devices to household appliances like refrigerators or a home Wi-Fi system will love the Pro Power Onboard feature. There are three power level options to choose from – 2.0 kW (standard on gas trucks and can power TVs, refs), 2.4 kW (standard on all PowerBoost hybrid models and can power a drive-in movie theater), 7.2 kW (available on PowerBoost hybrid models and can power a welding shop).

It is a big truck by Philippine standards, which is why its safety features will be highly appreciated by Filipino drivers. It has the latest versions of Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping System, and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert. Available features include Ford BlueCruise, a 360-degree camera, Exit Warning, Pro Trailer Backup Assist, Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, and Onboard Scales with Smart Hitch.
By far, the best new feature in the F-150 is the available Pro Access Tailgate, which is a swinging door with built-in stops thanks to the use of detents, or devices to help avoid banging the door into the trailer jack. It offers three opening positions, 37, 70, and 100 degrees. An available rear bumper step, with added width and depth for the Pro Access Tailgate, is also included in some configurations of this new design for secure and solid footing when entering the bed. Ford engineers also worked to help ensure Pro Access Tailgate works in tandem with many available bed accessories, such as bed dividers and tonneau covers, to provide a fully functional ‘trunk’ for the vehicle.

“Built Ford Tough is more than a motto; it’s our promise to always strive for more and never rest for F-150 owners. We see it as our duty to deliver what our customers want and need and what they never thought possible,” said John Emmert, Ford truck general manager.
The new Ford F-150 will be available in the US starting early next year. Since Ford PH offers its predecessor here, we hope to see this latest model sooner rather than later.
