NAIAX reopens toll exits, Tramo and Main Plaza now pass through
Can we expect congestion at toll exits at NAIAX?

SMC Infrastructure, the tollway management behind the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (NAIAX), has announced that effective today, August 21, 2025, the Tramo and Main Plaza toll gates will be “pass through” only.
The NAIAX management has reopened the now further CAVITEX exit plaza and other existing toll plazas in Entertainment City and Macapagal Avenue.

“Toll fees will be collected at exit plazas of NAIAX starting 12:01 AM on August 21, 2025. The NAIAX Main Plaza and Tramo Entry Plaza will be converted to PASS THRU lanes.”
SMC Infrastructure is making a renewed attempt to ease congestion at the NAIAX Main Plaza by shifting traffic to its exit points. A previous version of this scheme was met with public backlash after it compounded, rather than resolved, the traffic problem.
SMC Infrastructure also reminds motorists to ensure sufficient RFID load and follow traffic rules whenever using any of its expressways: NAIAX, Skyway, Skyway Stage 3, SLEX, STAR, and TPLEX.
