Mugen reveals ultra-exclusive kit for all-new Prelude
Mugen has just released a new set of styling and performance parts for the all-new Prelude

Mugen isn’t holding back as they just released their full parts catalogue for the new Honda Prelude, and the crown jewel is this, the Spec.III kit. This is a modern tribute to the legendary 1987 Prelude Spec.II. Limited to just 16 units worldwide, this package is more than a styling exercise: it’s for serious Mugen enthusiasts.

The Spec.III includes a full carbon fiber Group A aero kit, sports exhaust, and exclusive retro decals, echoing the last pop-up headlight Prelude with a contemporary twist. Also included are upgraded dampers, brake pads, and BBS wheels, which are optional, letting owners tailor their setup.

Retro Meets Modern
Mugen gives the Spec.III a distinct identity with serialized badges and a bold, classic Infinity stripe decal. It pays homage to Mugen’s heritage while appearing strikingly modern on the new Prelude silhouette. The graphics, rendered in iconic red, gold, and black, sweep across the doors and rear quarters, creating a subtle yet unmistakable presence. A numbered plaque in traditional Mugen motorsport colors further cements its status as a modern collectible.

Here’s the kicker, though, the kit is steeply priced at ¥1,650,000 ($10,510), but money alone won’t secure one. Mugen is running a lottery system where applications will open January 8–February 27, 2026, while winners will be announced on March 19. Lastly, shipping will start on June 19.
For Prelude fans and collectors, the Spec.III isn’t just a kit, it’s a rolling piece of Honda history.
