Mitsubishi's rich rally history now on YouTube

In case you're thinking about what to watch on your lunch break or your free time, well you might want to check out Mitsubishi's YouTube channel called MitsubishiMotorsTV.

As we all know, Mitsubishi Ralliart recently won the 2022 Asia Cross Country Rally and in its first try as a semi-works manufacturer. They may have just returned to motorsports, but they pretty much came in with a lot of rallying expertise, and their recent YouTube activities will tell you why.

The Japanese manufacturer uploaded 40 years of rally footage which consists of their campaigns in the World Rally Championship and the Dakar Rally. During their glory days, Mitsubishi Ralliart won four consecutive drivers' titles in the WRC from 1996 to 1999 with the Lancer Evolution. In the Dakar Rally, they even scored 7 straight victories from 2001 to 2007 with the Pajero rally raid.

From the “bar-type” Mitsubishi Lancer to the Pajero Evolution, the short videos show the wealth of experience Mitsubishi has gained through motorsports and enabled Mitsubishi to create great products like the Lancer Evolution, the Pajero, the Montero Sport, the Strada, and most recently, the Xpander and Outlander PHEV.

As much as we want to get excited about a possibility of a WRC and Dakar Rally return for Mitsubishi, nothing has been confirmed as of late. But here's one thing the Japanese brand is doing right now – it is using its glorious motorsport past to rediscover its mojo and produce exciting vehicles again.
