Mitsubishi's B-SUV prototype spotted testing in Indonesia
Mitsubishi is already testing B-segment SUV based on XFC concept in Indonesia

During last year's Vietnam Motor Show, Mitsubishi previewed the XFC Concept – an Xpander-based 5-seater crossover that's poised to compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Honda HR-V, and Nissan Kicks e-Power in the popular B-segment class.

Usually, concept cars take a long time to morph into production-ready models. But in Mitsubishi's case, it looks like they are already in an advanced stage putting the B-segment crossover to its paces.
A YouTube channel called Sigimedianet was able to spot the production version of the XFC concept running along one of Indonesia's expressways. And judging by the spy shots, it looks like Mitsubishi has retained most of the concept model's design characteristics.

The T-shaped light signatures, the trapezoidal grille, as well as the floating roof pillar appears to have made it to the production prototype. One particular photo even saw the XFC concept together with the Xpander MPV, where the former looks to have a lower roof compared to the latter. The reason for that could be because B-segment crossovers don't need to have overhead blowers, and Mitsubishi could resort to simply putting rear A/C vents behind the front armrests.
While there are no official specifications from Mitsubishi yet, sources say the production version of the XFC concept could have two engine options: the Xpander's 1.5-liter powerplant and a plug-in hybrid; the latter reportedly will come at a later date.

According to our insiders, the production model of the XFC is scheduled to debut at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) this August.
