Mitsubishi PH quietly launches 2024 Montero Sport facelift
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines introduces refreshed 2024 Montero Sport SUV

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is set to introduce the all-new Xforce crossover soon. They have already built up the inventory for it in anticipation of customer demand.
But while they’re at it, they have also quietly launched the 2024 Montero Sport facelift to the market. The updated SUV now appears on MMPC’s website complete with the list of new features it can offer to buyers.

The facelifted Montero Sport features a redesigned grille with wide honeycomb inserts, along with slightly revised LED headlights and daytime running lamps in front. Rounding up the exterior changes are new 18-inch wheels.

Inside, the most significant changes are the new steering wheel and digital instrument cluster which appear to be taken from the same parts bin as the upcoming Xforce crossover. For the top-of-the-line variants, the Montero Sport features dual-zone climate control with nanoe-x air filtration system, as well as an 8-inch infotainment screen with smartphone link display audio.
For easier maneuvering, the Montero Sport comes with a multi-around view monitor for the Black Series 4WD, Black Series 2WD, and GLS 2WD variants.
As we’ve reported previously, the 2.4-liter 4N15 MIVEC Turbo diesel engine has been retained for the new Montero Sport along with the 8-speed automatic transmission. A 6-speed manual is available for the base GLX 2WD variant. Power and torque remain the same at 181 PS and 430 Nm, but there’s a new off-road mode for the top-spec Black Series 4WD variant. Other features include rear diff locks for the 4WD variant, plus hill start assist and trailer stability assist for the automatic transmission variants.

The Black Series models feature advanced safety and driving features such as adaptive cruise control, ultrasonic misacceleration mitigation, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision mitigation, and blind spot warning. The GLX and GLS variants, on the other hand, still come with conventional cruise control as standard.
Prices of the 2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport facelift are as follows:
2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series 4WD 8AT – PHP 2,502,000
2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport Black Series 2WD 8AT – PHP 2,162,000
2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS 2WD 8AT – PHP 1,899,000
2024 Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLX 2WD 6MT – PHP 1,568,000
