Mitsubishi PH freshens up 2022 Strada GLS line
2022 Mitsubishi Strada GLS variant gets blacked-out features and a new headlight garnish

If the current Strada GLS wasn’t dashing enough for you, this latest restyling of Mitsubishi’s mid-size pickup truck will surely change your mind.
The GLS, which slots right below the top-of-the-line Athlete variant, gets new exterior features to freshen up its look. It gets a headlight garnish, plus several blacked-out features including the radiator grille, front under garnish, the door mirror, step board, outer handles, rear gate handle, step bumper, and the 18-inch alloy wheels.

Its 2.4-liter turbocharged diesel MIVEC engine has been retained. Power output is 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque and is rated to deliver 18.9 km/l. The Easy Select 4WD system makes it easy to shift between its different driving modes 2H (2WD High Range), 4H (4WD High Range), and 4LLc (4WD Low Range with Locked Center Differential).
This five-seater truck comes with a smart storage system such as front and rear smartphone trays and connectivity solutions that include USB ports, Mirror Link, and Bluetooth connectivity.
It also comes with a few of Mitsubishi’s suite of safety features. These are Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Trailer Stability Assist (TSA), and Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

“The Mitsubishi Strada was made for both work and play. It’s a pickup truck that Filipinos can confidently rely on to handle whatever and wherever they need to be, especially for the unpredictable weather and road conditions here in the country. So may it be flooding in city streets or a weekend off-roading trip, the Strada has got you covered, said Takeshi Hara, MMPC President and CEO.
The GLS line comes in various trims – 2WD M/T, 2WD A/T, and 4WD M/T – and has a starting price of PHP 1.293 million.
