Mitsubishi Motors PH trolls Kia PH on their own K2500 ad
Kia vs Mitsubishi: We don't care who wins as long as both sides have fun

We don't normally see car brands in the Philippines take a jab at each other online. Sure, in other countries that is far more common place like what Porsche did to Mitsubishi and Nissan so many decades ago, or the epic BMW vs Audi vs Subaru vs Bentley ads from 2006, but in the Philippines it is much rarer.
So it was surprising when someone brought to our attention how the social media manager of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines decided to troll Kia Philippines over a sponsored short video on Facebook. It's also available on YouTube, and you can check the video below:
In the video, Kia was making a rather underhanded statement about the lack of hatak (pulling power) from the Mitsubishi L300. They even showed the Mitsubishi L300 (poorly blurred, by the way) being left in the dust by the Kia K2500.

It's a fair jab as the Kia K2500 does have the edge with 138 PS and 255 Nm of torque, while the newer L300 has 99.25 PS and 200 Nm of torque. But Mitsubishi wasn't about to take that sitting down.
Yesterday the official Facebook account of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines dropped a comment (and the mic) on the Facebook video of Kia which was released last year. It reads: "Nice ad. Thank you for featuring the Mitsubishi L300 - The Best Selling Utility Van in the country 🙂."

As of this writing, the comment is still at the sponsored post of Kia on Facebook if you want to see it for yourself.
Mitsubishi is out there dropping facts. We wonder what Isuzu has to say about it though, as the Traviz is selling very well too.
