Mitsubishi L300 Euro4 makes 2019 comeback, starts at PhP 804,000

They say there is no such thing as immortality. However, it seems Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) would beg to differ.

After disappearing for over a year and a half, the iconic L300 is officially back on the market, and will be here to stay for a very long time. While the familiar boxy styling remains, there are some subtle changes made including a new grill and a bumper with a lip spoiler.

Under the hood (or driver's seat in this case), it now packs a new Euro4 powerplant which is more powerful, and not to mention cleaner, than before. The new 4N14 2.2-liter inline-4 turbo diesel engine found in the 2020 L300 produces 99 PS and 200 Nm of torque. For those wondering, it is the same engine found in other Mitsubishi models used worldwide. A 5-speed manual transmission is the only option available, and yes, it is still a column shift. 

Inside, it’s the same story as the exterior. The most noticeable changes from the previous model would have to be new gauge cluster and the new radio. Other than that, you’re met with a familiar interior that we’ve come to know over the past decades.

Just like before, it is available in a number of body styles. In fact, you can even order it as cab and chassis alone, and build the body yourself. This then makes it very flexible for the various needs of customers around the country.

What’s great about the 2020 L300 is that it is still built in the Philippines at MMPC’s Sta. Rosa plant in Laguna. Now before you question its quality, the L300 undergoes a number stringent quality control measures.

With the L300 now Euro4 powered and compliant with DENR requirements, it won’t be bowing out anytime soon, and could live on for a very long time.

The 2020 Mitsubishi L300 (Cab & Chassis) starts with a suggested retail price (SRP) of Php 804,000. For FB bodies built by either Centro or Almazora, the price goes uo to PhP 998,000.
