Mini's electric dreams start with 3-door concept

Reducing carbon footprint is very essential to a cleaner and better tomorrow. Mini has set out to do just that with their latest offering.

A while back we reported on a possible all-electric vehicle from the British brand. It has set into motion a series of events that has led to this, the preview of the automaker's all-electric three-door model in all its camouflage glory online.

Mini's electric concept is the first model to use its Charismatic Simplicity design philosophy. With a keen eye on sustainability, the automaker has been more aware of its carbon footprint and continues to work toward its goal of going fully electric by 2030.

Mini has focused on maximizing its in-car spaces. They have tried to keep their vehicle's physical footprint small but keep all the features that make the driving experience up to Mini standards. Going purely electric will give the Brits more space to play without a gas engine system under the hood. The new design DNA will be evident in this new crossover model made for the premium small-car segment and it is touted to be the successor of the current Countryman.

These new models from Mini will have strong individual charisma. Each vehicle has been crafted to express its traditions and values. The car’s cockpit will have full displays with the latest in OLED technology. A new UI is also being fine-tuned and will be present in a media system dubbed the MINI Vision Urbanaut. They have also that nod to the past though with their analog toggle switches which will be carried over from the existing combustion-based models.

Data on CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and range is being calculated and will be revealed by the end of July 2022. With Mini set to become fully electric by 2030, we're certainly excited to see what Mini has in store next month.
