Changan has a nice mix of pure combustion, plug-in hybrid, range extended, and battery electric vehicles in its lineup. But for MIAS 2026, the main highlight belongs to two of its longest-serving models getting all-new and refreshed versions.

Marking its official launch in the Philippine market is the all-new Changan CS35 Max, stepping into the shoes of the model well-received by crossover buyers in the country.

The all-new CS35 Max has been totally overhauled from the ground up, featuring a sportier look, bigger dimensions, a more powerful engine, plus a longer list of interior and safety features.

On the outside, the all-new CS35 Max has ditched the boxy styling for a more rounded and more contemporary crossover look, making it appear closer to a smaller version of the CS55. The new model has a 115mm longer wheelbase, which should translate to more room inside. It still comes with the signature red accents, but with sharper-looking LED lights at the front and rear, plus 18-inch wheels as standard.

Inside, the crossover comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment that is tilted towards the driver. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the top-spec model gets up to 6 speakers from Sony.

Other features include wireless charging, a panoramic moonroof, automatic climate control with a PM 0.1 grade particle filter, rear A/C vents, and USB charging ports around the cabin.

The all-new CS35 Max also gets a bigger 1.5-liter BlueCore turbo four-cylinder engine, producing 180 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed wet-type dual clutch transmission that sends power to the front wheels and comes with multiple drive modes to choose from.

Safety features include a 540-degree virtual view camera, multiple SRS airbags, an electronic parking brake with auto brake hold, plus driving convenience features like adaptive cruise control.

The all-new Changan CS35 Max starts at PHP 1,109,999 for the Lite variant, while the top-spec Luxe retails for PHP 1,199,999. Available colors are White, Interstellar Gray, and Black.

Lastly, the new CS55 Plus has been previewed ahead of its market launch later this year. Changan says they plan to launch the new CS55 Plus as the brand’s primary plug-in hybrid electric vehicle offering in the country.

The all-new CS35 Max and the new CS55 Plus make up two of Changan’s six car lineup that’s on display at the World Trade Center Manila from April 9 to 12, 2026.
