MIAS 2025: Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM PHEV makes PH debut
The T2 Lightning can travel up to 100 km on battery power alone

Jetour Auto Philippines Inc. (JAPI) is not resting on its laurels as the brand continues to expand its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) i-DM offerings. After launching the X70 and Dashing Lightning i-DM PHEVs, JAPI officially launched the T2 Lightning i-DM at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Serving as the brand’s latest plug-in hybrid model, the T2 Lightning i-DM combines go-anywhere capability with eco-mindedness thanks to its electrified powertrain. At the heart of the T2 Lightning is a 1.5L turbocharged engine that’s assisted by dual electric motors and a 26.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack.

The engine alone makes 156 PS with 220 Nm of torque, while the electric motors provide an extra 224 PS and 390 Nm of torque. Power is then transferred to the wheels via a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
On a full tank of gas and a fully-charged battery, Jetour claims the T2 Lightning i-DM can travel over 1,000 km before needing a recharge or a fill-up. On electric power alone, the plug-in hybrid T2 can cover up to 100 km. Recharging the battery can be done via a 6.6 kW AC onboard charger or a DC fast-charging station. Moreover, the T2 Lightning benefits from a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system to power up appliances or a work site if needed.

Recharging the T2 Lightning PHEV's battery from 30% to 80% via a DC fast charger will only take around 30 minutes. Meanwhile, an AC charger can recharge the battery from 0 to 100% in between 6 and 8 hours, depending on the wattage.
Style-wise, the T2 Lightning looks relatively the same as the regular turbocharged T2, albeit with subtle changes like the i-DM badges to make it stand out from the ICE variants. It still gets the boxy Defender-like exterior along with the eye-catching LED headlights, stylish 19-inch alloy wheels, swing-out tailgate, vertical LED taillights, and 205mm of ground clearance.

Like the regular T2, the new plug-in hybrid version comes with plenty of interior amenities like a panoramic sunroof, suede-leather upholstery, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and smartphone mirroring, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, LED ambient lighting, a 12-speaker sound system, power-adjustable front seats, a 360-degree camera system, and a suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS).

The Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM PHEV is now available and is retailing for PHP 2.488 million.
