MIAS 2025: Aito M9 REEV is one heck of a mobile tech lounge
The Aito M9 is proof that REEVs are more than just going the distance

If there's one common theme among vehicles that debuted at the 20th Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), it's the prominent use of high-tech features and amenities. With cars no longer just a means of going from point A to point B, vehicles nowadays are brimming with tech that goes beyond just keeping you comfortable and safe while on the road.
One of those vehicles is the Aito M9, which packs one heck of an equipment list. Formerly known as the brand Seres, the Aito M9 serves as the automaker's flagship New Energy Vehicle (NEV) that has a range extended EV (REEV) powertrain that delivers supercar-like acceleration and power. But as mentioned earlier, it goes beyond that as the Aito M9 emphasizes high-tech gizmos and amenities that make the M9 Aito your tech lounge on wheels.

Starting with the cabin amenities, those seated in the back will be welcomed by a massive 32-inch screen that lets you watch movies in high-definition. Meanwhile, the dashboard itself comes with an intelligent cockpit that seamlessly links the instrument cluster, climate control, and passenger screens into one massive display. Last but certainly not least, it's filled to the brim with intelligent (and active) safety aids to keep occupants safe while on the road.

Also worth mentioning are the Zero Gravity Seats that offer relaxing comfort while on the road, an adaptive dual armrest that adjusts to the seat angle, a 25-speaker sound system, a car refrigerator, a panoramic sunroof, a fragrance system, and a 16.8-million color LED ambient lighting.
Size-wise, the Aito M9 measures 5230mm long, 1999mm wide, and 1800mm tall and has a 3100mm wheelbase that improves ride comfort and stability. Its elegant design, combined with a streamlined profile, evokes a stellar look despite being a crossover SUV. It also comes with eye-catching LED taillights and headlights, with the latter having the ability to project movies when you're glamping out.

At the heart of the Aito M9 is an intelligent dual-motor AWD system that delivers 496 PS and 675 Nm of torque. This allows the M9 to sprint from 0 – 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. In addition, its 52 kWh battery pack allows the luxury SUV to travel over 200 km on a single charge. With an onboard generator, the Aito M9 is capable of traveling over 1,200 km before needing a recharge or refuel.
For now, the Aito M9 is being previewed for the Philippine market. But we won't be surprised if the automaker is already making the final preparations before it's officially revealed.
